Our preformed thermoplastic markings are composed of a sophisticated mixture of alkyd or hydrocarbon resins, high-quality pigments (like Titanium Dioxide for brilliant white), plasticizers, and pre-mixed glass beads. This pre-mix ensures that as the marking wears down over time, new glass beads are exposed, maintaining retro-reflectivity throughout the product's entire lifespan.
For maximum adhesion, the pavement must be clean and dry. We recommend using our thermal propane torches to remove any residual moisture from the asphalt or concrete before application.
The preformed sheet is laid on the road and heated to approximately 200°C (400°F). Our material is designed with "temperature indicators"—small dimples on the surface that close when the correct bonding temperature is reached.
